Volunteers required for 2010

It is customary for CWAM to attend and support various events during the year; the main object being to spread the word and encourage bikers to join the group via the Skills for Life Package. These are always successful and enjoyable days even when the weather's a bit dodgy.

A new webpage has been started with the aim of consolidating all the volunteer-type information but I'm unsure how to organise it at the moment; it will probably sort itself out eventually. In the meantime Ian Chapman (you will spot his silver 'NDLT The Forklift People' van prominently parked at all the events) is getting in early and giving us plenty of notice to volunteer in 2010.

Ian writes -

  • Sunday May 9th. Heart of England Bikeshow / Warwickshire Bikesafe. Gaydon.Stand at Warwickshire's premier show for 2010, we will need 6 volunteers for stand duty, £10 expenses is on offer, you will be selling Skill for Life packages and CWAM membership.

  • We have been invited to do Atherstone Carnival on May 9th (same day as Bikesafe at Gaydon). If anyone would like to volunteer, two or three will be needed for stand duty, and if someone has a nice gazebo they would like to lend us for the day we promise to look after it!

  • We will attend Kenilworth Carnival on May 16th and need 4 volunteers for stand duty.
