Potholes - avoidance & reporting

Due to the sad dearth of news items from CWAM members, I've been forced to nick stuff from other groups. This particular piece is based on an article in the Northants Advanced Motorcyclists Newsletter which I thought quite apposite in the current climate. Whilst in pilfering mode I also borrowed some stuff from the Warks CC site which I'll return later, honest (local) gov!

True Grit. (purloined from NAM)

While it's nice to be provided with gravel traps on a circuit, on the roads they are less fun and more likely to have you off than prevent you hitting a wall. Loose gravel can also indicate a pot hole that is best avoided. From a distance the gravel is seen first, with clear tracks through it, and an aware rider can use this information to alter course and avoid a trip over the handlebars.
