Life before CWAM - Learning to ride.
|
|
Before bikers can join CWAM they must have a full bike license. There are four stages to getting your full UK motorcycle license. First ensure you have a valid UK drivers license, if you don't already have a car license you can apply for a provisional license from the DVLA. The second step is to complete a CBT course. Upon successful completion you will be given a DL196 certificate which is valid for two years. During this period you must pass a Theory Test. After this, you may book your full motorcycle test. If successful you will then be able to apply for a full motorcycle license. There are a number of groups in the region with skilled, friendly trainers that will help you gain the necessary techniques to pass the tests. In Hinkley, there is the Hinkley Motorcycle Riding Scheme http://www.hinckleyrts.co.uk/ and in Rugby, the Rugby Rider Training School http://www.rugbyrider.co.uk/index.html. |
