Another
Karting

Steve Pearce has suggested another Karting Event, this time at Priory Park Karting's outdoor circuit in Tamworth. He suggests the two hour endurance race again. 2 hours + 20 mins practice = £150 per kart ( minimum of 6 karts & up to 48 drivers ) So 6 karts with 4 drivers works out at £37.50 each. ( 24 drivers with 4 drivers in a team ) Steve says "Now then, as the check rides seem to be flowing with interest at the moment, and especially this time of the year I thought it might be a good time to do another event during the summer with the late evenings and scorching hot weather and hopefully get more associates to come along too. (so if the observers could mention it to the associates at the check rides we could get a lot of interest). Please note: although the track is outdoors the chance of it being dry during the summer is very slim !! although talking from experience, I have raced at Priory Park in the wet and it is actually great fun and there are still way's of getting faster lap times!! I will say no more. I thought I should also mention, I was a little disappointed with Hartshill, there was no bottle of bubbly for the winning team and the team selections were also a bit unfair. It was mentioned that we could organise our own prizes next time as well, good idea Simon. Also I think I will have a go at picking the teams myself, I will be fair and will take into account age, male, female and of course weight. If you are interested and ready for another bash let me know, again if you could give me your feelings about a weekday evening or weekend preference and I will go and make some enquiries for possible date (maybe June or July) I know some of you are itching to do it again."
