Coventry Historic Vehicle Run. Sunday Sept 6th

Ian has twisted 34 arms but still needs more marshals to help out with the Historic Vehicle run on September 6th. There's a free burger and a tenner for fuel by way of enticement and CWAM  receive a substantial donation from the Council for helping out.

Marshals will need to be at their posts by about 10.00 hrs and stay there until about 14.30 or 15.00. (There will be a couple of travelling marshals who can stand in whilst you nip off for a comfort break). Some will be directing event traffic and some will be at MIRA helping to organise the "special tests". Everyone makes their way back to The Memorial Park for 15.30 / 16.00 to collect a well-earned "tenner" from  Coventry City Council and a free burger!

Ian also needs some help to erect direction signs on Friday/Saturday and to remove them again on Sunday evening.

Currently only four places are left, 2 at MIRA and 2 along the route. - If you’re interested, please contact Ian Chapman.

The day out at The Memorial Park is a great family trip so even if you can't volunteer, CWAM members can take their nearest and dearest to see the wide variety of vehicles produced over the decades both in Coventry and further afield. There are a host other attractions to enjoy - fun fair, brass bands, live music, stunt bikes etc. see....http://www.festival-of-motoring.co.uk/default.aspx for details
